San Donnino, between Campi Bisenzio and Florence
Anda & Rianda, our bed & breakfast is located in the district of San Donnino. San Donnino is a district of Campi Bisenzio, bordering the municipality of Florence, of which it is part. It is located just 8 kilometers from the historic center of Florence, and offers many advantages for those who choose to stay there.
San Donnino is located about 6 km from Campi Bisenzio, one of the most populous towns in the province of Florence, where there are various supermarkets (Coop, Esselunga, Penny, etc.) and various restaurants, as well as all the classical services.
The distance from the centre of Florence is very small: 8 km from the town centre to Porta a Prato, where the historic centre of the town begins. San Donnino is well served by public transport: the ATAF 35 line connects our village to the center of Florence several times per hour, until late at night. You can then choose to use the car to move around. Many of our guests arrive by car and then decide to move by bus to visit the city, now closed to traffic. The bus ticket is cheap and allows you to move around quite quickly and without worries (parking in Florence is not easy nor cheap!).
The village is small but equipped with every service: pharmacy, post office, gastronomy, wine cellar, tobacconist, newsagent, several bars, baker (a great baker!), a couple of restaurants, pizzeria, an ice cream shop. You can take advantage of these services on foot, since everything is located in the historic center of the village, a few meters from our bed & breakfast.
At Anda & Rianda it is also possible to take a bike and go to town following the bike path along the Arno river, starting from San Donnino. In less than 20 minutes you arrive at the fabulous Parco delle Cascine and from here to the historic centre of Florence, passing through the splendid Lungarni, up to Ponte Vecchio.
San Donnino is just minutes from the SPA Asmana Wellness World, reachable by car or by our shuttle. Anda & Rianda is one of the closest facilities to this innovative wellness centre, which in 2017 won many awards for the best wellness centre in Europe. If you come to Florence to go to Asmana, our bed & breakfast is for you. You can park in our secure parking lot and go to the SPA whenever you want.
Another substantial advantage of sleeping at our bed & breakfast is saving on tourist tax: being located a few kilometers from the center of Florence, but formally belonging to another municipality, the daily tourist tax falls from 5 Euro in the City of Florence to 1.10 Euro in the Municipality of Campi Bisenzio. It's a nice saving, if you stay more nights and if you travel with more people!
